Ms. Gallegos’s first year at Heritage

By Halley VanDeroef

This is Megan Gallesos’s first year teaching at Heritage High School. Ms. Gallegos teaches World Civilization, geography and US history. Ms. Gallegos has taught before at Arapahoe High School and is excited to be an eagle.

Over the course of Gallegos’s high school experience, English was her favorite subject for ninth and tenth grade. Then social studies became her favorite subject as soon as she became an upperclassman.
When asked for a fun fact about herself, Gallegos described,

“I got eight stitches in the face playing heads up seven up in third grade.”

Additionally, Gallegos loves to read and play the guitar in her spare time. She has three brothers, and she is the oldest. She also has a dog named Charlie.

“Charlie is very bossy, and opinionated; she lets you know what she wants and when she wants it,” says Gallegos.

If Ms.Gallegos could be any animal she would be a bear because they hibernate in the winter.
“I’m not going to lie, I’m not a fan of the snow,” says Gallegos.

She loves her students and can’t wait for this school year to get going and hopefully stay in person.

“I’m excited to see a normal school year or more of a normal school year hopefully, and I’m excited to see the homecoming assembly and how much school pride there is,” -states Gallegos.
