2021: Comeback season for Heritage boys soccer

The Heritage boys varsity soccer wants to make 2021 a year no one will forget. After coming off a poor season last year, with a record of 0-11, the team decided to make some changes to the coaching staff with former coach, Adam Buseck, returning as head coach. This has been a positive change, as the team has had a strong start to the season so far, with a record of 3-5 and high hopes for the rest of the season.

Coach Buseck wants to bring a whole new style of coaching to Heritage.

“I coach philosophically. I’ve thought a lot about how I coach. I want to win games, but I want to coach the players to be better people. I hold kids accountable. I want you to get better as students and as players” says Buseck.

Led by seniors Greyson M., Henry C., and Walker S., Andreas W., Heritage Eagles boys varsity soccer has some goals for the remainder of the season wanting to finish strong in the games left to play.

“We’re going to try to win as many games as we can, we want to make the playoffs but also we want to really enjoy being together. I think all of us have that feeling after the last year and a half we may not always win or make the playoffs but I want to enjoy it,” says Buseck.
