Ingram inspires our school

So far, Ms. Kara Ingram has enjoyed working at Heritage a lot, having fun at all our school’s fun events. She is also excited for many more since this is her first year here. She is seeing what it’s like to experience all these. Another thing Ingram likes is she has a junior advisory! Having students who have been here for a while is nice because they help her with everything and teach her a lot about the school.

Ingram is a new addition to our math department. She teaches Geometry and Algebra, and she loves both. Geometry is one of her favorite classes to teach because it is a course with much analysis rather than single answers to mathematical questions.

She was drawn to math after being a fifth-year university student and wanted to graduate soon. Since she enjoyed doing math, with it being the easiest and having the most classes, she chose that path and went with economics and mathematics. Now, she is going on to have a successful teaching career.

“I love children, especially your age, where you’re young but mature enough to do what you need to… You have a whole world ahead of you; it’s fun to help influence young people’s lives,” says Ingram.

Before coming to Heritage, Ingram taught mathematics for ten years and taught around the world, notably in Korea and China. While there, she tried a lot of cool food and had a great overall experience. After that, she chose to come to Heritage because she saw that our school cares about the students on an individual level. Seeing all students receive what they need, whether it’s extra support or need to be accommodated for higher learning.
