Now, finally, the moment we have all been waiting for at the end of the year has finally arrived. For Spotify users, the Spotify Wrapped is out as of Wednesday, December 4th.
Each year it surprises me with new features, some good, some not, and some are just classics.
Some new features of this year’s wrap include the 2024 Music Evolution, which featured certain months and what artists I listened to at the time, which was interesting to see how my music taste changed in just a year, as well as video messages from Spotify users different top artists, which was cool to see as it was very personal for each user.
Personally, the only critique I have is wishing I could have seen my music taste for more months during the 2024 Music Evolution, as it only featured March, May, and July.
However, I loved the concept behind it and the fun names used to label each musical era, such as, “Pink Pilates Princess Roller Skating Pop” and “Wild West Beach Country.” I enjoyed seeing how my music taste changed throughout the year.
Of course, the classic features were my favorite too, like top artist, top songs, top 5 artists, listening hours, and most importantly, the special message I got from one of my top artists, Taylor Swift. I thought it was really cool to see how all Spotify wrapped included these special messages even from smaller artists. Others received messages from Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, Megan Moroney, Sabrina Carpenter and many more.
I am very happy with this year’s Spotify wrapped, and am already counting down the days until the next one!
