Jessica Key, an art teacher, is excited to be a part of the Heritage staff. She is teaching Ceramics, Water Color and Design I this semester. This is Key’s first official year teaching at Heritage; however, she did substitute teach at Heritage last year.
“Getting to sub here last year just reiterated the fact that the students here are awesome and it is a great environment to teach in,” says Key.
Growing up, Key went through the Littleton Public School system. She loves this community and has enjoyed her experience with Heritage so far. Her favorite subject has always been art.
“Teachers from elementary school and high school really changed it for me and made it something valuable,” Key explains.
Outside of school, Key loves to make art whenever she can. She is a proud owner of three cats and a dog who keep her very busy. Key also enjoys getting outdoors to appreciate Colorado’s beautiful weather.
“I love to take my dog for a lot of hikes, to go camping, and to spend as much time outdoors as possible,” Key comments.
While this year may present challenges, Key continues to have hope and is excited to see what this year brings.
“What I am looking forward to most is getting to know my students, seeing the amazing artwork everyone’s going to make, and getting back to working together,” Key states.
