The Heritage Marching Band has had a terrific year with their new director and staff members, along with some Arapahoe students joining the band this year.
The Band’s hard work brought them to the state competition. The students in the marching band reflect on their emotions and feelings on their accomplishment of being able to make it to state,
“It felt very rewarding for everything we’ve done for the last few months,” says Julian P. ’28, a Heritage freshman, new to marching band this year.
“It was really fun to go out there with all of the people who are in the band for the last time,” says Max G., a senior. Max and his team were proud to be able to represent Heritage at state.
When the Heritage band performed, members reflected on the strong emotions amongst the group; “Everyone was very excited,” Bella C ’26. says. One of the newer members of the marching band gets to share how his first experience at state was.
Julain explains, “Everyone was super happy, but we were all crying tears of joy, because we worked so hard for this moment and it was over.” The band worked incredibly hard this year to accomplish what they did.. After all of their hard work they scored 10th place and they scored a 78.2 out of 100 , which the Band felt very good about for this season.
