After her 17th season, Head Volleyball Coach Hannah Eberl is hanging up her whistle. “The decision has been wrestled, beaten to death, and cried over more times than I care to admit,” Eberl says.
With her going away, the program turns to Coach Johnny Weber for leadership, who steps in as Heritage Volleyball’s new head coach.
“Johnny is one of the best technical coaches I have ever worked with and is planning a bright future for the Heritage Volleyball program,” says Eberl.
Weber began playing volleyball in high school at Ralston Valley, which quickly excelled into grass and sand. Grass volleyball consists of 6 players competing against another set of 6 to score the most points, while sand has only two players. He competed in a variety of 4v4 tournaments at an AA level. He also became a member of the Colorado National Men’s Court Team, which competes at a national level. Johnny began coaching high school volleyball after graduating from Ralston Valley and will be returning for his 9th year at Heritage as head coach.
As Weber steps up as the program’s new head coach, the future looks bright for these Eagles. “We are looking forward to the 2025 season!” Weber says. As the new season gets underway, the team adjusts to the different coaching techniques and expertise Weber brings to the team.
