Last month, the Measures Against Marxism’s Dangerous Adherents and Noxious Islamists, or MAMDANI act, was a federal legislation proposed by Republican Representative and Israeli psyop Chip Roy of Texas. Not only is it entirely unconstitutional, but it showcases how deep recent anti-immigrant sentiment has gotten.

This act proposes that any immigrant who advocates for socialism, communism, “Chinese communism,” or Islamic fundamentalism can have their citizenship stripped from them and be deported. Immigrants who have been here for any amount of time can have their right to live in the United States stripped away. While this does sound harsh, there is an exception! If it is proven that your support for any of these parties ceased after you turned 14 years old, you get off scot free! I am exaggerating of course, as this is a ridiculously vague and simple way of providing an exception.

Who decides what it means to cease your support? What if you are currently 16 and you reposted a video of some vaguely socialist ideologies? Can you still get deported? Not only is this not a clear bill, as ideologies are usually loose and have spectrums to them, it is a clear target to the elected mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani.

If that wasn’t obvious by the name, he is a democratic-socialist who has challenged the Republican party on numerous occasions and has proven that these ideologies they hate so much can actually work. For example, earlier this week, Mamdani was able to balance the historic $12 billion budget deficit within the 6 months he has been in office.

He did this through aggressive saving tactics, repairing ties with Albany, NY and the thing everyone said would be impossible, taxing the rich. He faced unending backlash from republicans who said it would be impossible to balance the budget without slashing public services, and if he ever dared touch the billionaires they would all just leave! Not only did he not do that, he increased public services alongside implementing his tax on the vacation houses billionaires own that are never used apart from being an ever-appreciating asset.

Now, I don’t say Chip Roy is a psyop without some evidence. According to trackapiac, a reliable source that reccounts all the money politicians have take from Israeli interested PACs, he has taken $17,000 from pro-Israel PACs, along with being openly pro-Israel. Mamdani has also been an adamant supporter of Palestine and Palestinian rights, something that Israel does not take kindly too and does not want spreading.

In the end, this act will likely get shot down at some point and not get put into place. However, it shows how there are blatant constitutional violations happening in the government of this country that are backed by numerous supporters.
