In 2025, movies began slowly, with some less popular movies coming out at the beginning due to the writers’ strike that happened previously in 2023. But as movie releases continue, we have started to get some new popular movies, with sequels planned for some.

In January, “Wolf Man” came out. A stay-at-home father, is attacked by a werewolf on his way to his father’s Oregon farm. The werewolf bites him, causing him to begin transforming into the creature.

Then in February, “Paddington in Peru,” which I saw in theaters, it was a good, heartwarming movie that would be good for your whole family or your friends.

In March,  the new “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” came out as a live-action reimagining of the beloved fairy tale, where Snow White battles the Evil Queen for her kingdom’s future.

April brought “A Minecraft Movie,” which did very well in theaters. I also went to see this movie in theaters and while it was packed, the movie was good.

This month, May “Thunderbolts,” Releases. Marvel anti-heroes unite for a dangerous mission that could redeem them or destroy everything they hold dear.

June brings “Elio,”  in which an 11-year-old boy is mistakenly chosen as Earth’s ambassador for alien civilizations.  I am very excited to watch this Pixar sci-fi adventure.

In July, “Jurassic World: Rebirth” comes out, which many Jurassic Park fans are anticipating. Dinosaurs will roam free once again as humanity faces the consequences of genetic experimentation.

In August,  “Superman” comes to theaters, which is said to be a fresh take on the Man of Steel, as he balances his Kryptonian legacy with his human heart.

October brings “The Black Phone 2,” which many people anticipate, including me, because of how good the first one was.

For November “Wicked” makes a return for the second part, “Wicked; For Good (Wicked Part 2).” People who watched the first part of Wicked are anticipating this movie.

With all of these great movies and more coming out this year, it will be hard to choose what to watch!
