On Monday, October 6, I attended the Conan Gray Wishbone Panama Tour. The concert was hosted at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, which is definitely my favorite venue in Colorado.

The show consisted of various chapters and contained songs from Gray’s newest album “Wishbone” along with his previous records “Found Heaven”, “Superache”, and “Kid Krow”.

I had a marvelous time at the concert. It was extravagant, emotional, and, surprisingly for such a sad album, joyful.

The setlist bounced between eras. Some fan favorites like “Heather” and “Bourgeoisieses” were played along with ten songs off the new album.

The production of this concert was very impressive. The opening set evoked a kind of cornfield vibe with a windmill. Slowly as the concert progressed, the lighting, costuming, and sets became more elaborate. The final costume of the show was a fully bedazzled captain’s uniform—referencing the sailor theme.

The crowd went all out for this concert. I saw tons of sailor outfits, merch, and signs. Many people screamed with the songs.

The only thing I did not love about the concert was the merch. Like most concert merch, it was incredibly expensive, and it wasn’t particularly creative. I feel like they could have done a lot more with the colors and theme. Instead, they opted for pretty basic designs on black backgrounds.

Ultimately, the Wishbone tour was an incredibly fun experience, and I enjoyed myself immensely.
