As the school year comes to an end, the Heritage Yearbook Staff gets to present the project they have been working on all year long to the school. On May 12 the yearbook will be distributed to the school. This is a very exciting day for not only the staff but also the school community.

On distribution day the yearbook staff gathers to go through the tedious process of selling the yearbooks to students. They work before and after school and also during A and B lunches to go through spreadsheets to make sure the yearbook is given to each student who purchased one. Addie Toffoli, senior staff member and editor, reflects on her time while distributing. “It’s honestly really fun distributing the books because you get to see everybody get so excited to receive it and reflect on all the things that happened this school year.”

The whole yearbook class has worked very hard throughout the whole school year to create the book. The yearbook’s advisor, Mrs. Jami DeVries, works hard to make sure the staff is more than just a class and is also a community. “Mrs. Devries is an amazing teacher, she makes everyone on the staff feel so welcomed and comfortable in her class,” says Gina Ogrin, a senior yearbook staff editor. “We do lots of fun activities and games together as a class that most of the times we run as students which is super fun,” Ogrin adds.

From taking photos at all kinds of events to designing pages and meeting every single deadline. The staff has dedicated countless hours and days to making this edition special for the school. For many students, distribution day is especially meaningful because it marks all of the accomplishments they have worked towards this year. While the staff gets a chance to see all of their hard work and dedication pay off. Although the process can be stressful and busy, the excitement from students picking up their books and sharing with their family and friends makes all the hard work worth it.
