On Thursday October 30, Heritage High School celebrated Senior Night for both the football team and the marching band during a game against Ponderosa, where the football team beat them with a strong 35-14 victory. The families and friends were in the bleachers cheering to honor them.
Before kickoff, each of the 30 senior football players was recognized under the stadium lights. They walked across the field with their families as the announcer shared their names, future plans, and favorite memories but also remembered all the good memories over time. The crowd applauded each one, celebrating not just their time on the field but all the friendships and moments built over the years. Moses Thenell ‘26, the varsity football captain, shared, “My favorite moment was probably getting the win with the fellas.”
Then, during halftime, it was the marching band’s moment. 33 of the senior members were honored and took their final walk down the field. They were all there to play one last time together before the winter basketball season started. Ellis Pitts ’26 said “ My favorite part was honestly getting the little buckets of candy bars after I walked down the fields.”
The Belles team was also there to dance during halftime, as well as the cheerleading team for the last game before playoffs, making the night even more meaningful.
