On Wednesday, October 29 at 9:15 a.m., Heritage will host the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test. It’s open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors, but limited to the first 50 students who sign up.

The ASVAB measures students’ strengths in areas such as math, science, and technical skills. Scores help identify potential career paths and determine military eligibility, matching students to positions that fit their abilities and interests.

Heritage provides a convenient testing environment, giving students easy access to explore future career options. It’s a great opportunity to plan ahead for college or post-graduation paths.

Megan Wilcox ’28 says, “I really like that Heritage offers the ASVAB test. I find it very successful and important that everyone here at Heritage is able to easily go and take this test so that whoever is thinking about serving in the military has a simple way to see if they are best suited for it.”

She adds, “I think the ASVAB helps students figure out their future careers because their results show if they’re a good fit for the military. It gives them a foundation to build their future on, saving time and reducing stress.”

After taking the test, many students feel more confident about their futures and the choices ahead. “I absolutely think students should take advantage of this test. It really sets them up for long-term success,” says Brooke Wilson ’28. “I’d recommend this 10 out of 10 to friends and classmates because it’s such a great opportunity that shouldn’t be missed.”
